Inspired by beautiful stuff reading from the unit and material inquiry / Junk stuff I stared to rethink how can we reused waste materials. As a result of that I came up with this beautiful wall decoration.

I used few egg shells, some paint and a stick from my broken cloth rack. I decide this beautiful art as an ECT we have to create our classroom with creative ideas. I used some common items such as eggs, used papers which kids can easily identified. I believe that this kind of craft helpful to encourage relationship, and collaboration through play.

In children’s learning, dramatic arts, music and movement are very important features which support the early year’s foundation framework in learning and development. Music and movement plays a major role in relationships, maintaining connections with other entities such as human and non-human, and understanding local places. I was inspired by Reggio philosophy. In Reggio Philosophy, there are 100 languages in which movement is one. Using material is another and finally, music is another. According to Victor Wooten introduced ‘’ Music as a Language’’. He considered music as the first language. It is not only about playing an instrument, it is about enjoying as a form of understanding, learning, connecting with others on a deeper level and communicating.

I decided to create some instrument by using some cans , toilet paper roll, used water bottles, Juice cups and sticks from broken cloth rack. Creating music instrument from junk materials my aim is to prove that we don't need expensive things for entertainment. And also I believe kids love these sounds.

Link for the Video :
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VNu_30rFSMg

For my last assignment, I thought to use an inquiry about junk materials. I used this topic because I was influenced by our module about junk stuff. Specially my mother country made me to select this topic as people throw plastic bottles, plastic lunch boxes, plastic cups, shopping bags etc. every where. They have no idea how a piece of junk that is in the trash bin or in the surrounding can be just turn out to be the hidden treasure that we have been looking for. As an example plastic bottles, paper rolls, cups, plastic boxes we can identify as recyclables . we can re process those junk pieces to create exceptionally valuable and meaningful items. More over by that action we will be saving the environment. What we have to do is turn our imaginative ideas into reality. In my inquiry I will show that how can we use those junk stuff to create a beautiful ending and as an ECT how can we use junk as a learning material. To create my inquiry I used kitchen leftovers, plastic items which I already used.

Finally, As I suggested we can use junk stuff to create a beautiful world. And also I believe that as an ECT we should understand that the outcome doesn't depend on expensive things. And also junk stuff doesn't cost anything in our early childhood setting we can use them in meaningful way. As an ECT we can promote the concept of junk materials to families as they are environmental friendly and useful.
