Paul started his 1st journey from Antioch’s seaport Seleucia. He then traveled through Cyprus,

Pamphylia and then traveled up to the other Antioch in Pisidia.

They then went across to Lycaonia, working in Iconium, Lystra, and Derbe. Passing through Pisidia and Pamphylia again, they then worked in Perge. After all of these places they went down to Attalia and caught a ship back to Syrian Antioch

St Paul’s first journey was a significant part in establishing Paul as a leader as he went to spread the word of Jesus. It was Difficult to travel to the places that st Paul needed to go to as there was no direct routes. St Paul would have done most of his journey would have been by foot he would have also spent time on boat and carriges. st Paul traveled with his companion baranabas and mark where they opened churches and appointed elders in every church. St Paul prepared them with prayer and fasting and them committed them to the lord (Acts 14:23).

as a student at a catholic high school the importance of Paul’s messages is still important today because we are taught to have faith in god and then he will reward you by being by your side.

St Paul was dedicated, emotional and sometimes even harsh in his letters. St Paul addressed his letters to different people and in some on these letters he talked about how you should Have entire faith in god and commit to practicing your religion. After St Paul converted to Christianity he tried to Convince atheist to turn christen.

St Paul would also preach about if you suffer with Christ you will be rewarded with him.

A cultural challenge for st Paul was that he was a Jew before converting to a Christian this would have created an uproar for both religions.

The Jews were mad at Saul for converting to a Christian as they were confused and obviously mad as this was there leader and this was who they trusted and spent so much time worshipping.

On the other hand The Christians were just as confused as they Jews but you could understand why they hated Paul as Paul had killed there race and they Christians spent so much time hating on Paul it would have felt so different allowing him into your religion
