Something that surprised me was how many activities we already did in the first 2 days of school!

My favorite activity was definitely this or that my drawing was quite weird but in my own way.

I loved the 2 days of PE that we had I love playing spin pin with my friends!

Something not so good was lunch time. It goes by so fast I need to pack a smaller lunch otherwise I love this school!!

How fun is it being a 5 grader I still feel like a 4 grader. coming back to school it is nice seeing all my friends seeing all my old teachers.

I want to work on not talking when lining up. I am going to do that by not getting distracted.I will not talk to my friends when lining up. It will look like lining up right away. and going past Mr friends to get lined up.

I have learned that you can use latitude and longitude to mark places. I learned that geography effects were people live. I learned that different places have very different weather changes. Then I learned that different vegetation has different places and some animals.

That it is important to cooperate so everyone is happy. You can get everything done faster. You can also use cooperation in sports, farming, and construction. I can play on the playground by having everyone there spin the wheel. We can all do a big game of tag. Then we can include other so we can do even more cooperation.

We have discovered that people used different trails to get to the west. they also went for the gold rush. They also were traveling just to live there. We learned that the Oregon trail was the biggest trail during the westward expansion.

I can work on being quiet 100% of the time. I am going to do this by not saying anything to anyone except when necessary. It will look like me being quiet and me burying myself in work.

One of the takeaways from the video was that sometimes we need to compromise. Another takeaway is that no matter how old you are or where you are you can compromise. It does not matter how you do it but you need to cooperate.

I have discovered that without Lewis and Clark to explore the west after the Louisiana purchase westward expansion would not have happened. I also discovered that moving west was really hard. I mean today you could go west on an airplane and enjoy the ride and get there in like 4 hours. I bet if people that lived during westward expansion were alive today they would be really jealous of us. I also discovered that it took so long to get to a place back then and so many people died, not just older people but children and babies too.

I am very proud of myself. I got 100% positive and I got 75 dojo points for the week. Next week I can try to earn more dojo points by being more quiet or having a cleaner desk. I can clean my desk twice a week and when you say to clean our desks I will thoroughly wipe my desk down. I can spend more time working and less time talking. I notice that sometimes during partner work I don't finish the assignment because me and my partner spend too much time talking that we can never finish. Another thing I can do is help pick up trash around the classroom or even help others clean their desks. I can help remind people to do their class jobs if they forget. One last thing I can do is help someone with their work if they need help. These are all ways to be kind.

I have a 90% fluent the only reason I got 5 points off was for my incomplete homework but everything else was good. I will do my homework all at the same time and get it over with. I will do this by reading the directions more carefully. This will look like me doing my homework right when I get home and always looking at the directions multiple times.

In the wild west I am studying the Lewis and Clark expedition. I learned that Lewis and Clark had to face really harsh weather. They also had to travel really far. Thomas Jefferson started the expedition in 1804. They came back in 1806.

I did super well with lining up quietly, following directions, and being respectful. I finished a lot of my book this week, and I'm almost done with it.

Next week, I want to improve in participating more. I want to raise my hand for most of the questions. I am going to do that by paying close attention, so when Mrs. Pavlowski asks a question I will be prepared and I will know the answer. This will look like me sitting at my desk watching the board, and listening closely. I won't be talking to anyone near me, and I will be paying attention.

I have discovered how to locate places using coordinates, and some new landforms. One new landform I learned was a beach. I knew what a beach was, of course, but not that it was a landform! I also learned what geography actually means, "The study of our physical surroundings and how humans interact with them."

I can use cooperation in sports by agreeing and working together with my teammates during recces.

Some things that I have discovered about the Wild West are how much the gold rush had an impact on it, how often The Oregon Trail was used, and how much of an impact it made on the US today.The gold rush had a major impact on the Wild West and made the Westward Expansion a huge topic! The Oregon trail was the most commonly used trail during that time period. The Wild West made such a huge impact on the world today as well.

I'm getting better at listening to the teacher. But I'm getting off the task by talking. My goal is to not to forget to charge my chrome book. My other goal is not to forget my workbook. I'm going to write to charge my chrome book in my assignment notebook. When I write my assignments in I will put a checkbox next to the workbook pages. This would look like, first for reading the reading category it would have BB on it, and then for spelling it would show spelling words, for math it would show 2 IXL's , workbook pages, with a check box next to it. With language arts there'd be nothing to check off, for science none , social studies vocabulary, and chapter one vocabulary and tell, and to charge my chrome book.

some things I learned are the latitude and longitude lines. Latitude lines go from West to East and longitude lines go from South to North. geography helped me learn about all the different states like golf Mexico, California,and about the Indians. I learned about the word kiva which means a place where members meet and tell stories.

Some of my takeaways for the video are to cooperate helps building a house, a city, a skyscraper. You

have to cooperate to play any sport. You also have to cooperate when you're a farmer so then you can get things done faster. If I want to cooperate with my friend to pick a game to play. Another example is if someone else wants to use the swing but I'm already on it then I'll cooperate and we'll take turns. Another example is when my friend and I are playing the game and they don't want to play that game anymore I will cooperate and ask what game they want to play.

I've discovered that the Oregon Trail was very dangerous since it's so long that you can die from first. You have to walk with his even harder because you can die from walking for so long. Also I discovered that California is still like a gold rush now anyone can go there and just get rich. I also discovered that someone who was building the railroad found a piece of gold in a river and that's when the gold rush started.

I'm very proud I got 100% positive. I earned 60 points for the week and no negatives. I could work on the line up quietly because that's the one I have the least in. I could work on the collaborative and work on getting even more dojo points. I going to do it by working a lot harder and more focused. I'm going to try to get in line more quickly and quietly. It will look faster and a lot more efficient. It will look good quieter more teamwork and more work done.

I have learned about geography and how we live. Some things that can also affect our living are climate, vegetation, or landforms and bodies of water. Climate can affect where we live because people want to live in different climates for different reasons like maybe they like to relax in Florida because of its hot weather or maybe they want a hot and wet weather if they want to grow plants. Vegetation can affect because a lot of people want to grow plants for farming and food.

What to take away from cooperation is that it will make it a lot easier and faster if you work together. Cooperation makes the world go around. Everyone from construction workers to clowns use cooperation. An example is we don't know what to play and we can cooperate to figure out what to play. We don't know how to solve the math problem and we can cooperate to solve it. We could cooperate to solve were people sit at lunch.

We learned that the Celestial railroad was the first transcontinental railroad built by Chinese men. I learned that there was a lot of sickness and 1 in 20 died of sickness. I learned they had to steer the wagons into a circle to keep the cattle in, they also had to collect buffalo chips for the fire. i learned that they gave a way land for practically free!

I want to improve on not talking as much. I also need to work on getting more work done faster. my achievements for this week are following directions because that is one of the things I did most and that is very important. Another accomplishment was collaborating with other students.

some new things that I learned about the geography of the United States are that there are meany different landforms like one that is a strip of land that is separating two lakes/rivers. Another thing that I learned about geography is that there are invisible lines of latitude and longitude that go north and south and east and west that go around the earth. I learned that the lines of longitude, latitude, prime meridian and the equator separate the earth into 4 parts. I also learned about physical features, a physical feature is any landmass or body of water that is apart of Earth's surface.

One take away from the video is to compromise because things are done faster and are easier if we work together. if we compromise we can come up with a better solution or answer for the problem.

I learned that there where lots of dangers on the trail like cholera and rattlesnakes. There were Indian Americans that helped the travelers on their travels west. most people went to the west because they wanted a fresh start in life or the gold rush.

I think that I did a good job at lining up quietly. I think that because when we went to special I did not talk to people on the way or stop while lining up. I also think that I showed quality work on the geography challenges when I did them because I would look back in the text and find the correct spelling instead of just guessing the correct spelling.

Some new things I discovered this week about the geography of the United States is what vegetation types are in the United States. In the forests the text states that "Some of these forests have trees with long needles instead of leaves. Forests with these type of trees are common in the northern parts of the United States. Other forests have trees with large leaves that change colors when seasons change. Large forests with these trees can be found in the lower Northeast and Southeast regions. Another type of vegetation is grassland, an example from the book is "Grasslands are common in the Midwest region. In fact, the Great Plains are an example of very large grasslands that spread across most of the states in the United States. This area also receives rain, allowing farmers to live and grow food here." So those are some examples of different types of vegetation I learned.

I think that the takeaway from this video is that being cooperative is the way that people get projects done. I also think the takeaway from this video is that you should be cooperative. Also in the video the guy gave examples like construction workers do projects by cooperating. Some examples of how you can be cooperative in school is by being quiet when people are talking, so then they will be quiet when you are talking. Another example is to listen to people because they might have a really good idea that can help you do an assignment. Those are some examples I have for what I think you can do in school being cooperative.

I have discovered a fun fact that John Sutter (the founder of the Gold Rush) did not get rich from the Gold Rush even though he found the Gold Rush. Also I discovered that the popular Oregon Trail was around 2,000 miles and many people traveled on it. Another fact is that during the Lewis and Clark Expedition is that there was only one person to die during the journey and that Lewis was Thomas Jefferson's secretary. Those are a few facts I discovered about the wild west.

I have 100% positive on class dojo, I am very proud of myself. I could work on staying on task when I am working with my partner. I can do that by when we start to get off task then I could just say "Ok can we please stay on task?".

2 things I have discovered about geography is that geographers can help people find places. Geographers also "Study physical features of earth". I have also learned that different places have different temperatures, It might not be as hot In Maryland as it is in Arizona.

My key takeaways from the video is that many people are cooperative and can get the job done. If you are cooperative then you work well with others and you can listen easily. Some examples in the video are the baseball players, construction workers, and farmers! I can cooperate in school by working well with others. I can do this by listening to their ideas and helping them. I can also cooperate by listening to the teacher and being flexible with whatever changes she needs to make.

I have discovered that many people died because of violence and the cholera disease. I also learned about the people who traveled the Oregon trail such as Sacajawea, Lewis and Clark, Minors,and many more! I learned about how people rushed to California because two workers found 2 gold nuggets! I am writing and still learning more about the California gold rush!

I am going to work on not talking in line When lining up. I am going to do that by not talking to friends when I go by them. It is going to look like me going into line quietly.

I was pretty happy with my score but I feel like I can improve some things. I think I need to stay on task a little bit more, but overall I think I can just keep doing what I'm doing now. It would look like staying quiet listening to directions and other things like that.

Formal language is when you talk to your teacher, your boss, your co-worker or just a parent. When you're talking to your best friend or maybe a relative you might use slang or something else like a nickname.

I am going to improve on remembering my Chromebook and not lose any materials. I am going to do that by packing my bag the night before.

Formal language is a conversation you would have with a teacher or a student or even a boss. An example is "Mary, i noticed you did not turn in your homework. please remember next week." Informal language is like 2 friends talking. An example is "Dude, want to play Roblox?" ,and another friend said in reply, *"Totes Bro."

I have 94% positive in class dojo. I am proud that I lined up quietly,working hard, and for having the correct voice levels. I lost some points for off task behavior. I know that if I talk when I am allowed to and work on whatever I am working on then I can get the job done. When I am not allowed to talk then I will make sure that I am staying focused on my work.
