I really liked Antonio Canova's work entitled "The Allegory of Peace".
The work the one of the most talented sculptors neoclassicism Antonio Canova was performed on the personal orders of State Chancellor Count Nikolai Petrovich Rumyantsev.According to his plan, the statue had to immortalize the activities of three generations of n diplomats of the genus Rumyantsev.The chief purpose of diplomacy was seen by the Chancellor in resolving peaceful conflicts.Rumyantsev was proud that he, his grandfather and father participated in the conclusion of three international peace agreements.The sculptor worked on an order in Italy, in 1811-1815, just when Russia, which liberated the peoples of Europe from the Napoleonic invasion, was widely perceived as a carrier of peace.However, Kanova provided in allegories of wider meaning: in the image of a beautiful winged goddess, he not only personified the victorious state, but also embodied a dream of peace, as universal goodness and harmony that always overcomes evil.The terrible threat of war is personified in the form of a gigantic snake, which the goddess Pax trample on. In the right hand, Pax was once an marble olive branch.However, this detail was lost before the sculpture fell into the Museum of the Khanenko in 1953.

It affects the fundamental principle of democracy, which is to protect minorities and to safeguard their freedoms. This is a historical confrontation, presented in the works of Martin Tay, who looks at this from an African point of view, and also in the work of Sondra Perry, which deals with the struggle for the rights of African Americans in the United States.

Thanks to visiting the PinchukArtCentre, I was thinking about how democracy affects the world. I agree with the thoughts of the artists who participate in this exhibition. I believe that people should behave better with one another so that racism does not exist and that tolerance prevails in the world. And I also hope that in every country in the world there will be unanimous thoughts about equality between people of any color, orientation , and that the government supported it.

I liked the PinchukArtCentre, and I will be more likely to go to new exhibitions at this institution of contemporary art.
