Every day after school, I remember doing hours of studying and spending even more hours completing homework. It was not the homework that took hours, it was me attempting to be perfect (which never happened). After noticing this newly developed behavior, my parents began to understand the reason behind why all this is happening. Because I'm letting school be my number one priority in life.

☞  How this instance relates to the theme?

This situation shows how education is just a part of our life, but not our life itself. Similar to how planets revolve around the Sun, school is another one of those planets that just revolve around the basis of my life.

With that being said, I was the opposite. I did not pay too much attention to other things apart from school or learning, and tried to avoid them as best as I could. For me, a nice relaxing day included studying, reading, or conversing with my friends about school. To say the truth, it wasn't that amusing. Growing up, I even began to remove social interaction, having fun, partying, and exercising out of my life which did make an impact on me and my health in the long run.

This situation depicts how letting one aspect of our life rule is a one way trip to failure. We have to take in consideration the other planets revolving around our life—around us.
