There are a lot of emotions involved in that type of grief (even if the suicidal person is alive) and one of the least discussed ones is anger/resentment, I think it could add an interesting dimension to this concept to look at how family or other loved ones process suicide ideation. 

people tend to have a very hard time communicating suicidal intentions or ideation to their loved ones, it can be really difficult to figure out what to say or how to say it and many people experience profound guilt along with suicide ideation, is there any way you could incorporate those experiences into this idea? 
I think it would be interesting to dive into some of the less discussed emotions involved in it.

Have you thought about asking some other people for their experiences to incorporate their narratives in this idea?  Or your own if you are comfortable with it?
