The Start of the episode begins with the Apple Tv logo and text in a similar plain white font that states that a new episode will be released every week. Then subsequently there is a dip to black as the Show begins with J- cut over the black screen with a unfamiliar man asking who are you over the speaker.

This episode starts up with a high angle-long shop that establishes the main character and the setting of the room in the opening scene. Then it cuts to a close up of the speaker that some anonymous person is speaking to the woman then   we see a  Pov shot from the view from the cameras that assuming an unknown person is looking at. Simultaneously the camera starts to track the woman and the two minutes are up before the scene finishes. 

There was a white noise  that was present in the film creating an eerie almost ominous tone.

At the end of the 2 mins the audience is left with an eagerness wanting more. So many questions arise as the audience is trying to solve where this woman is.

There was an abundance of lowkey lighting that attributed to the mysterious nature of this series.   

The first two minutes of Severance adhered to the conventions of a mystery/thriller genre  as it left the audience with a lot that was unknown that engrossed the audience with a idiosyncratic location.

The first two minutes of this series break conventions as we are not introduced to the characters yet.. we see a woman in this scene but are not aware of who she is.
  
These first 2 minutes represent the ongoing fear of a controlled society.

This series was distributed on Apple tv and it was an Apple original film. This means that it was the cheapest distribution option for apple and are hoping this series will draw viewers to buy a subscription of apple Tv.

The Title of my groups film is called faces. This film works because it is catchy and memorable. Not only this, the title correlates to the story and has an underlying meaning to it that goes with the emotion of our film.
 
A tag line that I came up with for my movie was "Familiar to everyone else but yourself". This tag line contributes to the movie how many of the characters never actually see themselves or really unlock their personalities and thoughts as they are held victim to the mask.

The Target audience of our film is  teenagers to Young adults mainly targeting the male audience. We can expect viewers who are engrossed in our films to have some insecurities about themselves and have a fear of a dystopian environment. These people are likely to be middle classed teens who attend Highschool or college. We will be able to market our film to this audience through Instagram, Tiktok, and Facebook. An example for this marketing would be clips of our film appearing on the for-you page repetitively following the AIDA model. We can find our target audience through people who follow motivational accounts assuming they have insecurities of there own and  are hoping to better themselves. What you can do on those social media accounts that is a free way of advertising is have an account of the film and following people who follow motivational accounts, The Rock, etc and then they will receive a notification on their phone and click on the profile to see what it is. That process can spark an interest in the film.


Our group could market the film by posting a video of the mask  by a lake/pond (and not specify the location) we used in the film and reward the person who finds the mask a certain amount of money. This will actively engage  the audience and get a group of people trying to find the mask and ultimately eager to see the film.

We could do this online by rewarding viewers who post the link to their stories on platforms like Facebook, Instagram, etc.  The incentive for this could be shipping the user a mask like the one that starred in our film.

 The cover of our film will  feature a mask with a black background. This cover idea seems simple but sometimes less is more. The desolate mask on the cover will evoke the emotion of loneliness that appeared in our film. It will attract an audience because it will spark curiosity.  The audience may ask the question "what does this mean" when they see the film the central idea will be so apparent. The Font will be skinny and passionless  screaming dystopian signifying the  pusillanimous aspect of this film.
