She dropped out of a university because she refused to make a pledge to Germany. Sadly just three weeks before the war ended she was captured and killed by the Germans. Her last words were " I'm a better shot." to her executioner. There is now a Hannie Schaft foundation.

They would go off and lure and ambush Germans. Hannie and Freddie were the main shooters but all of them killed Nazis. Freddie was especially good at following a target and keeping a lookout because of how young she looked. They would follow a target to his house and would kill or ambush him on his bike.

Freddie dealt with her trama by having a family and having kids. Truus started to create sculptures and talk about her time in the resistance. Freddie still had trauma causing her insomnia. They both died at the age of 92, Truus in 2016 and freddie in 2018. The Netherland failed to properly recognize their accomplishments and finally in 2014 they received national recognition for what they accomplished.

It also made more women help with resistance things instead of it being a man's job. They would smuggle Jewish children in their house and out of the country to be free. This caused not so many jewish people get captured.
