If my planet was going to be destroyed in 5 minutes by intergalactic forces I would probably spend my remaining time walking the bike path near my house to experience nature and earth for the last time before its destroyed and I die.

Comparing this to Prefect and Dent is quite different as Ford knew he wasn't going to die so he took Arthur to the pub for "Muscle Relaxant" (Adams 23).

Something that stuck with my mind throughout the whole book was how Adms incorporated the dry and sometimes dark humor while keeping the overall tone of the book light. This is clearly shown during this part of the book "No, I was only fooling said Ford, we are going to die after all" (Adams 75). He said that right after attempting to pull a lever that possibly could have saved their lives. I think this sort of humor is perfect for people my age range as we already often make jokes similar to that.

"I'd far rather be happy than right any day"(193)

I don't necessarily agree with this, there are some cases where being right really doesn't matter and being happy is considerably more important but there are times that being right is more important than being happy.

Some cases that come to mind where being happy is more important than being right is small arguements, such as those you have with friends or family where the outcome won't have any long lasting negative effects. An example of something like this is arguing with one of your siblings about what should dinner be that day.

But there are times were being right is more important than being happy, if it's someone arguing about something important to you and they are factually wrong then it's more important that facts are placed above emotion.
