WSCC Autism All ages Consultation – Your help to promote this (Oct-Dec)

West Sussex County Council wants to make West Sussex a better place for autistic people across all ages and for their families and carers.  

To achieve this, they are working together with autistic people and their families and carers to co-produce an autism strategy and plan.  

Between October and December 2024 they are running a consultation, which includes on-line surveys and workshops, focuses on finding out how autism-friendly West Sussex is and gathering information about people's needs and quality of life.  

Please join the consultation and promote this consultation as widely as possible within any West Sussex services and networks, to your service users, their families and to your staff.

CYCALL is a well established inclusive cycling project based at Brooklands Park, Worthing. Due to ill health I am stepping aside as Chair - we are seeking either a new chair or a like-minded organisation for a merger to mutually benefit both organisations.

We’re currently working to better understand the experiences and views of people with disabilities in relation to dance, including what opportunities are available to them, what they enjoy, and what they feel could be improved. It’s really important to us that these voices are heard and reflected in future provision.

We would love the opportunity to connect with your groups and engage with the people you support. As part of this, we’re offering a free dance and movement session, designed to be inclusive, accessible, and adaptable to a wide range of abilities, needs, and communication styles.

Alongside the session, we would gather feedback in a relaxed and supportive way, using approaches that work best for your group. We are very happy to work with you to tailor both the session and how we gather input to ensure it feels comfortable and appropriate for everyone involved.
