Pointalism artist used different coloured and sized dots to create their paintings or drawings. These dots could be made by use pens, felt tip pens or small circular brush strokes to create this effect. These artist don't scetch their drawings out be for adding the dots. As it won't not look right. From my research on pointalism I can identify, that these artist didn't want to have any kind of scetch marks across their paintings or drawings. This is because pointalism artists used dots because when their piece of art work can be seen from a far distance, it gives the peice of art the appearance of an outline around the art work. This is because dots can be seen as lines or outline from a distance. This is because the small white gaps between the dots slowly disappears as you become farther away from the painting. This technique was also used to create added detail throughout their paintings. I like the painting about as the artist has used a variety of different colours and shades within this painting. As it gives the painting a more realistic approach.

Samahir, excellent homework well done. Is the picture above yours?
You have obviously researched the subject and shown you have understood this style. Good use of annotation stating how you can identify from the image above, you are showing you fully understand this style. To improve the mark try finding an artist who uses this style and annotate how they have worked this image and why. Well done. 9/10 To improve to a 10/10 find 2 artist styles and compare them.
