This began a newfound interest in 3D modeling and 3D printing. I wanted to know how to make something in a digital space, then either use it in another software or to 3D print it to have it in my own hands. Thus, I designed, then printed, terrain for the Dungeons and Dragons(DND) club at my school, hoping to help me learn how to 3D model and 3D print complex objects. Hi, my name is Leo. I like computers and coding, and old games. My topic is Retro Game Archival. I decided to create a website to host retro video games that would be otherwise lost to time. What led me to take on this topic was actually playing retro games myself, as I do quite frequently. The subject matter is important to me as it would change how I play these games myself. I think I can make a difference by aiding the archival effort. My learning goal is to learn how to create a website to host these games. I also need to learn how to make a script that fetches game information based on file names. My experiences playing these games led me to taking on this goal as I have wanted to help the archival effort and make a website at the same time. This seemed like a good way to do it. I hope to be able to know how to make websites and make game scripts. It is connected to my product because it is how I will create the product, without it I cannot. My product goal is a website to archive video games that may be lost forever without better archival help. It will be a proof-of-concept however, since I cannot legally put this up publicly and I do not have the funds to acquire as many games as possible. The experience that led me to want to take on this product goal was chatting with people who work with archival and who wanted to archive PSP (Playstation Portable) games because there was no way to recover them once Sony’s servers disappeared, which they inevitably will.

literature. I also aspire to learn about construction and how to mold your own project by hand. I
will gain new understandings of the world around me and the less fortunate who do not have
easy access to books and libraries. My product goal is to create my own free library and
contribute accessible books/literature to my community. I have decided to create my own “Little
Free Library.” This project entails researching how to construct a mail-box shaped contraption
and installing it in my neighborhood, so that it directly impacts my community. The reason I
picked this topic for my personal project is because I have always loved to read and write and I
wanted to create a product that benefited young readers in my community. I am an avid reader
and writer, and want to pursue a career in that field. I aspired to use my hobbies and interests as
factors that would propel my personal project. I also enjoy helping my community, so the
product combines my personal interests and hobbies to form something that benefits the world
around me. I saw other free libraries in Los Angeles and was inspired to make my own, so that it
would impact my friends, family, and other community members. This subject matters to me
because I love helping my community and reading. I believe this project can make a difference in

As a kid, I’d always loved to draw, whether that be on my small iPad or black sketchbook, drawing was always a fun pass-time. Coming from a relatively talented group of illustrators, I was commonly exposed to all kinds of fun pictures and drawings made by my siblings, allowing us to share all kinds of pieces to one another in a great way. Before our final designs were finalized however, we all discovered the need to understand the process behind such intricate papers. Each line, stroke, and color carried large weight in each of our pictures, and to me, making those finer details didn't just give me a sense of perfection, but also clarity. For a young kid like myself, the making of art was such a calming and tranquil experience that gave me freedom to explore a different world with such small and faint markings. I found this other state of mind to be somewhat of an escape when sitting in my dull room alone, and gained a new found appreciation for minor details. Art to me is fascinating, and embodies the thoughts and ideas of others in a colorful way. At least, that was how I saw it. In my personal project, I intend to uncover this feeling that art reinforces upon others, and see whether or not this blissful feeling is reciprocated towards the minds of others and not just my own. Yes, I know art does great wonders for the way I think, but what about those around me? As for my product goal, my end result is to create a coloring book with the compiled pages of my peers to assess how wellness affects them. This represents the Global Context, “Personal and cultural expression,” for my intent in spreading this process to others in the form of a coloring book is a good example of artistic expression. The approaches to learning I intend to follow in the making of this project include Thinking and Social Skills. Communicating to others is definitely a step of mine I need to accomplish in order to go about carrying this research inquiry, and the thoughts behind constructing a reliable report will require wise analysis and preparation.
