It is easy to evaluate a traditional exam, but it is hardest to evaluate a competence, and to provide useful feedback to each student, so that you can guide their learning path. Smaller groups of students would be needed. Working with other colleagues also helps. Also new evaluating tools are needed to provide a tangible explanation to a student about something that is intangible. Finally, in my opinion traditional grades should be out of the equation when we talk about competencies.
