When the Articles of Confederation were created, the intention was good, and initially there were accomplishments. 
Further down the road, problems became evident and the government clashed with their 
needs. This new form of government brought Americans to independence from Britain after the Revolutionary War. The Land Ordinance impacted the public education system in a positive manner. Northwest Ordinance of 1787 prohibited slavery in the territory. Although these accomplishments reaped a benefit, the Government was not strong enough and had many faults that led to what we know as our constitution today.
