I am Janedeliza Dañas Durano, aka "Deling." Twenty years of existence, living in God's love and mercy. I am one of God's masterpieces that He fearfully and wonderfully made. My life is already sold out for Him. I commit to serve the Lord until my last breath.

The place I called home.

I grew up in Sitio Ulbohan, Barangay Cogon, Tuburan, Cebu. A place where freshwater came from, on which spring is our main source of water. Since I was a kid, this spring called "Ulbohan" is what we used when we took a bath, washed clothes, or even drank water. It is just a neighborhood of Tubod Spring. One of the springs here in the Municipality of Tuburan.

The grace of God has carried me throughout this journey.

I started my kindergarten journey in our barangay, which is in Cogon. Then I spent my elementary days in Tuburan Central School, from Grade 1 until Grade 6. While my junior high school to senior high school was in Tuburan National High School.

Like, it is very convenient for me that the school is not so far from our home. Thanks God for this privilege that I have the chance to study.

Fast forward, I am currently a second-year student taking the Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering at Cebu Technological University - Tuburan Campus.

"Layo na pero layo pa jud ug latason nga maka graduate," at this moment hehe.

Things that I love and wants to do.

It's reading the Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth (BIBLE). I really make time to spend reading God's word, like I don't want to miss a day without reading it. And my interests are preaching, teaching God's word, and sharing it with others. I am interested also in enhancing my skills in media, so now I am designated to operate as a prompter during our service. I am actually part of the worship team in our church, and I am interested in learning musical instruments like piano and guitar.

The honor belongs to God alone! (Not mine po)

Actually, when I won first place in our contest in extemporaneous preaching. It was during our Youth Camp 2022. This was my second try, because my first experience was really, I don't know what to do. Also, when I graduated from my senior high school, I was a high honor student. I will grab the chance to tell of this accomplishment because I know that I don't have a chance na nga mo graduate as Latin honor on my college journey. heheh>

The painful moments of my life.

Some challenges I've faced that are so painful for me: first is when my grandfather died. That I considered him as my best friend. Second is when I experience failure in my studies. Back in the second semester of my first year in college, I failed in my major subjects. That was one of my down moments in life.

I passed the challenges with God's strength.

It shapes me to seek God's presence more because He is my comforter. It builds me to trust in the Lord. Believing that God's timing is the best. And it helps me to keep on holding on to God's promises in my life.

All by God's help because apart from Him I can do nothing.

I want to be a licensed engineer by God's grace. I want to be a doctor in theology. God will open more opportunities so that my life will be used. I want to spoil my family and let them experience an abundant life. We will travel locally and internationally, and we can eat whatever we want. I commit everything to the Lord.

Proverbs 16:3 states, "Commit your works to the Lord, and your plans will be established."

Ocean versus Forest 🤭

I like to be in the forest and enjoy looking at the beauty of it and feel the fresh air compared to when I am in the ocean. Because when I look at the sea, I start to imagine weird or creepy creatures living in it. It gives me goosebumps. hehe>

Life is meaningful if you have a genuine relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. If we seek God first, everything will just follow. And delighting ourselves in Him, He will grant what our heart desires.

So blessed to have them in my life.🤍

First it is Jesus because through His words that I read every day, it makes me grow spiritually. I learned to walk in righteousness and desire to live in holiness and purity. As John 1:1 says, "‭In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

Second is my family; they're my inspirations in life and why I strive hard to become successful and achieve my dreams. Because I want them to experience and enjoy other things that we haven't experienced yet.

Pastors or my family in the Church they're my mentor to grow and draw closer to God. They pray for me and encourage me through God's word. Also, they help me to discover and enhance what gifts God has given me.
