I participated in the iTEC project cycles 3, 4 and 5 by part of the national coordination. We regularly hold teacher trainings like Intel Teach Essentials and we represent the approach of the digital technology on our roadshows and conferences across the country.
Combining the project pedagogy toolkit and the use of information and communication technologies in the 21st century, I see the challenges responding to opportunities. As a trainer I love the moment of the birth of project ideas. I appreciate the creativity, the joy of thinking together and co-creation.

The photo is taken in a teacher training, I'm presenting a geolocation application.

M1.1: What digital skills are important?

I think the abilities according to the Forbes are so complex that it is difficult to argue with it. What is interesting for me to see that sometimes we stress that the abilities and skills are in connection with the use of digital technologies and we use particular adjectives for digital/technological/e-skills and at other times we didn't emphasize the special nature of e-skills but we hold them natural and we call them just 21st century skills. I like the latter approach provided that it is illuminated by a wide variety of examples. The examples could be complex activities that require the digital skills just like in the system of the ISTE. http://www.iste.org/standards/iste-standards/standards-for-students

I triedto find the list of Mashable on the website but I couldn't find it, I may have already failed the course? :) If anyone can send a URL, I would appreciate because I would like to refer to the source in the future. The list of the Masable is a bit confusing because it includes very different levels of skills, one is as simple as someone you can set up your WiFi and an other skill requires a set of social skills in very different circumstandes.

The competition can be very useful because everyone wants to perform better but on the other hand the motivation of employees should be intrinsic and so the two things are conflicting. Lot of professions does not exist yet and thanks to the life-long learning approach career changes are possible, however some area requires serious engagement. I think that more and more positions will be required
which mediate between the representatives of other professions, some interpret the needs and
opportunities to clients and implementers.

I also like the quotation "Technology doesn't make teaching easier but different!" I see teacher around me who doesn't feel that technology make teaching easier, on the contrary! Unfortunately, many people still deny that the use of ICT in schools is essential to have. They held the use of ICT in the schools futuristic, even the teacher training students. They are actually scared by the children's computerclose lifestyle and so these teachers find it difficult to accept good practices in connection with the ICT supported teaching and learning.

I didn't use the instagrok before, but when I saw the video of the search results organized just like a mind map-like, the site piqued my interest.
I liked that it creates quiz related to the search so that is very useful in language learning, in reading comprehension tasks (simple information retrieval practice). I chose the island of Crete keywords for search, and I could view the source of the sentence of the quizzes as well. I didn't have to read the whole page to find what I'm looking - using the Ctrl+F function, but it was good to see where the quote comes from actually. It is also important to be informed about the context of the text. I don't know that the quizzes are random sets or someone prepares it, but sometimes for phrases taken out of context we have to check where it came from.
I found using the WayBackMachine a book wich I searched a very long time, but I couldn't find it in electronic form. It is very expensive to order the paper version of this book, the shipping is too costly from overseas. I'm glad to find this book. :-)

I find it very good to monitor a narrower field of science, without overwhelmed by results. http://moly.hu/konyvek/miha-mazzini-azt-hittem-ismerem-a-google-t

That is a very important message that the evaluation of online resources isn't different from the evaluation of the traditional sources, what is more, it is easier to check the reliability of a online source because there are more and more clues for our online inquiry. If there are circular references only, we can suspect cheating...
Unfortunately, many children can retell the adults admonition that they should not believe everything that they read (on the Internet), but they often forget this (adults too) when they find something of interest, possibly something that coincides with the views and beliefs so they fall prey to various conspiracy theories as well.

I really liked the arguments for the use of Wikipedia. This was for me the most fascinating novelty: we can build a book from the articles, and it can be exported with images and appendix (pages source contributors, pictures, resources, licenses and contributors and index), it can be downloaded in pdf with nice typesetting. The book can be ordered in print.
