Novel (Fiction) Night Hoops

1) The novel that I chose relates to my topic becuase the novel is about a boy who is spending his nights outside practice and taking shots. He did exactly what MJ did at night like in the movie space jam except he did not get cut from the team. The boy keeps busting his tail to make sure that he is prepared for the challenges that arise.

2) When I read this novel I instantly thought of MJ and how he always practiced and eveyone always says that if you work at what you love most everyday that you'll be more successful than anyone else. This kid shows his passion and courage for the team and he is dedicated to do all he can to achieve greater things in life.

3) The creator of the book got his point of view across but showing that he spends his nights out balling in the dark making hoops and getting better while everyone else is sleeping. He talks in a way where the reader knows the kid gets frustrated when he messes up if does terrible.

Biography (non-fiction) American Sniper/Army

1) The way these biographys link to my topic is because they talk perfectly about what to do when in the battlefield when they are in combat and proper styles when fighting for the worlds lives on the court.

2) Reading this topic helped me understands that you can practice in almost anything and get better and that there is not just one thing that you practice for. Practice can go from as little as typing fast, to as humongous as runnin NFL plays and weights. The different types of things people practice for is fascinating to me because each one also has a seperate way then the other topics that I have talked about.

3)The creator of this piece got his point across becuase they talk about angles and distances amd so he talked about when theh practice thag they set a little bag up from a far distance (at least a mile) and the snipers have to adjust to the wind, elevation, and so much more. It isn't important she for these snipers because if they don't hit there spots then they can get exposed and the reader really explains it thoroughly how important it is not to mess up on the battlefield.

Fastball/ Nolan Ryan documentary (Multi-media

1) The way this documentary supports my topic is exactly related to my theme. He talks in his show on Netflix about how practice is good and beneficial but the thing that he doesn't believe in is weights because it puts pressure on the arm or else he would lift. It also talks about the proper things gon do when playing baseball. My friend has actually met Nolan Ryan in person and he (Nolan) said, "practice is the best thing that hasn't ever happened and that I don't believe in relievers when I'm pitching".

2) The readers understands the quote more when people see this documentary becuase they will see actual famous people who played on a major league team. They express the importance of what people need to do and that if they don't do certain things, then they will just be average and never even have a chance to be looked (scouted) at.

3) The main creator of this piece was by Nolan Ryan when he was documented on Netflix. He gets his point across like I said in #2 that he expresses his views on baseball and his techniques that he used personally and he was in the MLB and Hall of Fame so people should look up to someone who was successful with their career so that it could help the world out.

1) The source or visual that i chose, support my topic because not only are they practicing but they are also striving to get better at the sport or objective that they are doing. Nobody in the world is perfect but god, and you will never ever be 100% good because everyone in the world will have mistakes, but practice is to make sure that you don't have many. It is the only way you can get better

2)How viewing the picture helps the reader understand the quote is by seeing that he is putting in the work and effort to strive for something better. He is not just sitting there and waiting magically for his talent to come to him. Talent comes to those who are willing to put in the extra work

3) The creator uses a visual and shows that to get better that it takes work and you can't just sleep and wake up with a talent, there are a few people but they are the exception to this. The picture shows that he wants to get better hitting, so he is taking yacks on the field with his team.
