The Coastal Plain is  made with the Atlantic Plain on one side and the Gulf of Mexico below.Soil in this area is very good to grow plants. We can tell that  they are old because the Rockies have pointed tips and the Appalachian Mountains are rounded.The Appalachian Mountains have rounded tops because of erosion.
