I totally disagree Emily Dickinson as what she said as having multiple friends is good, and choosing the real ones will show in your hard times. As from personal experience, having multiple good friends is the best as they would always support you through hard times.

In her poem "The soul selects her own society" Emily Dickinson says that you need to select some friends, then you ''shut the door.'' This means that you shouldn't allow new friends in your life. I completely disagree with what she said, i would like to relate a personal experience. In grade 8 i had literally no friends but 2 people, Jad and Joe. Then, I opened up and started talking to people and today I am friends with many people from my own grade.

I can totally see when Emily is coming from but it's no good . Having multiple friends gives you the chance of having connections with people whenever you need them in certain situations, but you always need one person to share and relieve your stress with and they do the same.

Emily's opinion about friendship is that she should only have one friend the shut the door on the society and not accepting new people in her life.

In my opinion, I disagree with Emily's opinion or point of view about friends, we dont choose one person then shut the door from the society because we need to accept new people in our lives, ive always accepted only one friend in my life but i realized that

Emily describes how the person chooses their own friend and doesnt need to accept more than some .After the limit of friends she shuts the door and doesnt accept anyone else

I also believe that you should give multiple to everything and everyone.
