This is definitely an interesting topic, as I've seen many people improperly store their masks. However, my concern is the feasibility. Of course, you wouldn't want to try this on actual people, so if you were able to use appropriate lab equipment to test for these diseases, I think this question would work.

I like this idea a lot, I am wondering if you would include how to take proper care of the mask if there is a risk?

Also, would this be centralized in one area/age group? The question at the moment is pretty open-ended in relation to the population you will be studying. Narrowing the selection of individuals you are going to be researching might make the question a bit more feasible.

This is a really interesting topic. Do you have a way to define "improper storage" of the face masks? Also, how do you plan on measuring/executing this? How will you know how people are storing them and how will you know how at risk they are?

Will you conduct this as an observational study and see how people naturally dispose of there masks and then the results of that? Or will you purposefully dispose of masks according to an experimental setup and gather the data that way instead?

Would this target one specific age range of people, or try to be a generalized finding? -Because elderly and newborns ave the most at risk immune systems to be prone to the disease, so will it focus on an at risk population or just everyone

This is a very interesting question but how would you measure the risk? How would the risk posed by a dirty mask be measured? Would your data be focused on mulitple diseases on a mask or just one? However, I also think that it would be hard to gather info relating to how much risk is presented by a dirty mask with the materials we have at our disposal.
