Flipgrid

https://info.flipgrid.com/

Flipgrid is completely free and unlimited. It is available on any device and the web, iOS, Android, and Google Play.

I predict Flipgrid was used more than ever in the past year since it was created in 2014. With classes being online, I know I can say from personal experience, it makes the typical discussion board look bad. Flipgrid provides teachers with a place to see their students, with COVID-19 making it nearly impossible, especially for those asynchronous classes. Flipgrid lets teachers make a grid/topic for their classes and students upload a video of them speaking or demonstrating, or whatever the assignment may be. Students and teachers each have an option to comment back with a video response. In my opinion, it is far better than typing up paragraphs for a discussion board. The best part is teachers can make their own groups for their class and nobody has access to it besides the ones that have the code! Within those groups, teachers create the grids/topics for as many assignments as they need. Teachers can change their settings in different ways, one being how much time is allowed in the videos uploaded. I highly recommend Flipgrid.

Link to a tutorial of Flipgrid:

https://youtu.be/vJOoloQ7k5Q

Link to my work sample of Flipgrid:

https://flipgrid.com/44b17984

References: https://info.flipgrid.com/

https://www.edsurge.com/news/2018-06-18-microsoft-buys-video-discussion-platform-flipgrid
