I've been studying a lot, but something is not clicking for me. This was reflected in the many grammar mistakes of my speaking assignment. I have been studying with Kassidy-san, which has helped, but I am still looking for a tutor to help me understand Japanese better. I want to continue learning the language all the way through college, so I will work even harder to get better. I will not give up!!

Likewise, I will practice learning the correct usage spatial words to describe a room and other locations. By the next speaking assignment my goal is to speak concise and fluently in Japanese.

I was nervous during this reflection, because I did not want to forget the correct usage of past tense forms in my sentences. Likewise, I did not want to forget the vocabulary related to describing the things that I did in my childhood. I am, however, glad to see that my flow consistency was maintained and that my pronunciation has improved! I need to make sure that my intonation isn't misleading and that my accuracy improves, but I am glad to see that I am beginning to improve with my speaking and understanding when I practice shadowing.

I have not gotten a grade on my assignment yet, but, I think I did well and am improving. I struggled a bit with the one phrase I had to prepare, which was in regards to how old I was (12) when I first read my favorite book, The Outsiders. I also forgot how to introduce the author correctly. I think that my tone has gotten better, although maybe I should not have paused when I said that my book was also sad? I was thinking of English tone, and hope that it did not sound too confusing. I am really happy that I was able to show all of my art, which I spend a lot of my time on. In the future, I will work to improve on my flow and have a correct tone when speaking.
