This third grade is a nice course, in general students' behaviour is good.
In the first class, we started a new unit "Vegetable World", we are using a book called "Smarty 3"
We started by learning some new vocabulary, I displayed some flashcards to demonstrate the meaning of the words. Then, we continued with the book, we read some sentences aloud (I had a lot of volunteers!! =) ) and we did a matching activity, they did not have problems.
During the middle of the lesson, we did a listening activity, students were really interested in that activity... The last stage of the lesson, students did a matching and colouring activity. I have had many problems during this period, so I was really happy to be in the classroom again!
We are dealing with 'places in town'
I made a poster to catch their attention in wich they had some colour pictures, i asked students if they know that places, some of them answered and come to the board to stick the right place next to the picture.
Students respond well to the actvities and they show interest and enthusiasm. We did a matching activity and then we draw in a map the places I mentioned.
