The republic had two councials that led the government, similar to the president and vice president of the United States. The republic also has a senate which was elected by the people.The United States senate is also elected by the people in each state. I chose Washington D.C because our government is similar to the Roman republic.The Roman republic became an empire when Julius Caesar brought his army to Rome and took over.

They worshiped in Temples and made sacrifices to the gods. Everything changed around 4 A.D. when Jesus was born. Jesus and his followers were called Jews and they believed in 1 god. The Romans felt threatened because Jews didn’t worship many gods. Then some Jews began to believe that Jesus was the messiah ,and these people were called Christians. Christians tried to start converting people, so the Jews and Romans started persecuting them. When Constantine became emperor he made the government tolerant of all religions ,and christianity spread. I choose Bethlehem as my place because that is where Jesus was born

Because of Galen’s work we have a better understanding of how the body works.Also, Ptolemy was an astronomer,mathematician,and geographer. He is also the first to believe that the planets and sun went around the earth (not true). He started a star catalog that scientists have added to. The location I picked is the Cincinnati Observatory because they have studied many stars and used to have the biggest telescope in the world.
