In order to establish the needs of students, it is of great importance to first define what is meant by a needs analysis and to choose the type of needs analysis most appropriate for the teaching context. However, there is no set definition for needs analysis, Richard Bcrwick (52) states that "in general, the skeletal structure of a definition is most often expressed as a measurable gap or discrepancy between a current state of affairs and a future state".

When to evaluate student

Once the student's needs have been identified, given that these needs will be transformed into learning objectives, development, didactic materials, learning activities, and evaluations.

Why evaluate student

Because making use of the types of needs analysis serves to prompt learners to reflect on their learning style, learning strategies, language needs, motivation, language strengths, and weaknesses. It also helps to find out what needs learners have in order to determine what they already know so that they can decide what they still need to learn.

How to evaluate students

Gathering data on the preferences or needs of any group of students.

1. To enhance the student's focus: learning occurs when all the energies of the person are pointed to just one activity.
2. To identify talent: a close interaction between the teacher and his/her students would help teachers determine the abilities each student has.
3. To create interest: if children are provided with an instruction and assessment program to cover their individual needs, it will help students to have more interest in the subject.
4. To make them learn at their own pace: learning process more personalized & create room for flexibility within the tasks.
5. To be on a healthy environment: effective learning requires a good atmosphere and relation between the teacher, children and their parents
