This law is outrageous because if anyone breaks a hole into a house (break in to steal), he shall be put to death before that hole and be buried. This a wild statement because this punishment is a little too far.

Law 4 this could work

If a man bears false witness concerning grain or money, he shall himself bear the penalty imposed in the case.

If this was modified so that the punishment is not so harmful to person physically it would do a good job of keeping people from accusing people just to accuse people which happens more often than not.

Law 14 (Outrageous Dos)

This law states "If anyone steals the minor son of another, he shall be put to death."

This says that if a man kidnaps a child they will be put to death for his actions. Getting put to death for this is an inhuman punishment for kidnapping.

it is evident Hammurabi doesn't play games so if you do anything remotely wrong 7/10 times you'll be put to death
