 Annunciation).

◽The chapel was built by a Portuguese fidalgo or nobleman, Duarte Coelho, as an act of gratitude following his escape from a storm in the South China Sea.

◽It was deeded to the Society of Jesus in 1548 by the Bishop of Goa, João Afonso de Albuquerque, with the title deeds received by St. Francis Xavier.

◽It was then further enlarged in 1556 with the addition of a second floor, and a belfry tower was added in 1590.

◽It was then renamed the Igreja de Madre de Deus (Church of the Mother of God).

    ●If you look at the design of Fort Margherita, it feels like traveling to a European country. This whitewashed fort was completed in the design of an old English castle in 1879 by Sir Charles Brooke and was named after his wife, Margaret Brooke.
    ●The fort was located on a hill, the fort presents an eye -catching view in all directions of the surrounding area. The fort was built to be a symbol of the government's stability and strength.
    ● It served as a Police Museum from 1971 before being handed over to the Government of Sarawak and now is a tourist attraction in Kuching.

• It is located in Kuala Lumpur's earliest Moorish-style buildings.
• It is set to the east of Merdeka Square (Dataran Merdeka) and the Royal Selangor Club,across from Jalan Sultan Hishamhuddin.
• It was built in 1897 and was named after the reigining Sultan of Selangor at the time.
• The building's architectural style is described as Mughal Eclectic and feauteres copper domes and a 40m high clock tower.
• This is where the Union Jack flag was lowered and the Malaysian flag was flown on 31August 1957.
• The building was gazetted as a national heritage in the heritage site category in 2007.
• The purpose of the construction of this building was because the administration in Britain needed a new headquarters to administer the state.
• This building is the backdrop for the independence parade every 31 August and the New Year's Eve celebration.In fact there is Maulidur Rasul celebration.There also filmmakers and drama in the building area.

It is located in the centre of the town of Teluk Intan, Perak. 
•The tower is slanted leftward similar to Tower of Pisa. It is 25.5 metres tall and from outside, it looks like a 8 storey building. In actual fact, you will find out as you go inside that the building is divided into 3 storeys.
•The tower was built in the year 1885 by Leong Choon Chong, a Chinese contractor and was originally used as a water tank to store portable water during dry season for the people living nearby.
•It is also used as a time keeper of the town as there is a huge clock on top of the tower. The clock was made by J.W. Benson of Ludgatehill London and the cost of building it was contributed by the local people. The building itself is made of bricks and wood.
•The pagoda style structure has been greatly influenced by Chinese architecture because the majority of the population of the town at that time was Chinese. Each storey has a height of 5 metres and you will need to go up 110 steps to reach the top of the tower 
•The good thing about this tower is that we can visit it for free and as it is located in an open space, we could take a good photo with a full view of the tower. Without having to recommend it, tourists passing Teluk Intan will certainly stop to view this tower. The tower is well maintained and safe to climb the wooden staircase to the top at level three. We can see 360 degrees of Teluk Intan Town.
•Parking is available around the tower making it easy for visitors without any hassle. To me, The Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan is the most valuable price and gift of history of Teluk Intan. If you are admirer of towers around the world, there are only two of this kind if tower in the world, one in Pisa Italy and the other one is The Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan, Perak, Malaysia. Everyone in Malaysia should make an attempt to visit this monument. Highly recommended for both locals and foreign visitors.

REASON TO VISIT:
1)The reason why we like to visit the Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan is that we can learn more about the story of history on that building.
