This article is about the Church covering up stories of sexual abuse within its communities, and instead of dealing with the issue they instead moved the priests, monks and volunteers who were accused into different parishes (churches). The Pope had promised to deal with this issue, however no further actions were taken and victims are calling for him to resign. 

It was posted after the editors code was made, however some of the names used in the article, especially un named victims quotes, questions how they got hold of them for quotes if the police weren't disclosing names.

It was in the publics interest to research into this matter as the church and Vatican have a large hold on power over countries all over the world, and if corrupt activities such as covering up sexual abuse, especially with children is occurring within it, then the people should be able to hear it. The press company would of had to find the line between public vs private and see the benefits of the community knowing this matter. Mill would describe this as harmful information so therefore the company should speak up.

As a result of the coverage, people were able to hear this story and press for the Archbishop to resign, by putting pressure on the Vatican to reach out and give an explanation for the actions.

The Prince stayed to with the sex offender in 2010 even though he was proven guilty. Jeffrey proceeded to kill himself whilst waiting for his trial and the prince "did not regret their entire reletionship, further more the Prince was then accused of forcing a 17 year old to have sex with him but he denies it all. 

The daily mail broke the editors code by looking into Jeffreys privrate log, By doing this they saw when and where he had been in the months before. The log shows Epstein flew with Pince andrews ex wife 10 months before Epstien flew with Andrew.

The news illegally targeted a missing school girl called Milly Dowler and her family in 2002, interefering with police enquires within her disappearance. She disappeared at age 13,  they started to wrongly belive she was still alive. The News of the World started illegally intercepting mobile messages. They hacked directly into the girls phone and listened to every message left by her family. Her voicemail got full and the News deleted her voicemail messages so when family called and found out it had been cleared they belived that it was Milly herself, this also confused the police. The Paper made little effort to cover up the hacking and reported a story of a woman pretending to be Milly and apply for a job. 

A part of the editors code that would have been ignored to get the story across as they have done un consented intrusion of somones privacy that cannot be justified. 

It was the publics interest to look into this case as the girl was part of the community so many people may have known her. 

This case should have stayed private between her family and friends/community and the option to make it public should have been made by her family not the News hackers. 

Moralists would be against this as this as it was unethical and caused extreme distress to her loved ones, as well it being confusing to the police. 

The result of the coverage helped to expose the news for their ill act and immorale actions. 

Poppers paradox believe that an open society needs to be intolerant of intolerance, intolerant behvaiours must be fought against, for example the news who invaded the girls property conveyed immoral and unethical behaviour, consequences should have been made from their actions, in this instnace it would be them getting expose about their behaviour through media.

This broke editors code as it is an invasion of privacy. This is a private email was leaked for this then to become a massive issue that everyone now knows about. It is thought (but not known) that their was a person who somehow found the email and then got paid to leak it. It is likely that the person who saw this email was forced to break editors code to the publics interest.
