In this book, "NO GOOD DEED" there’s a lot of inner conflict, as well as external conflicts. As for inner conflicts, the main character Gregor Maravilla was passionate about making a change in the world and showing that he can make a change to him self, as well as his parents. On page 7 and 8, he tells us this, "But spending the summer with a community of people who thought like me-who were passionate at a young age about using their skill sets to make the world a better place". On the other side of the coin, Gregor Maravilla had a fair amount of conflicts with other characters. The most notable one is with the character named Tom Cruz(that goes by the name Rights). Rights had many different types of conflict with Gregor but the main “argument" was at the campfire. Rights says, "Are you people really going to sit there and listen to someone who reads “How to Get a Girlfriend” every night before he goes to bed?" and Gregor replies with, "that's not true leave me alone", and the argument continues on with a group argument, leaving Gregor embarrassed siting at the fire.

When the story starts, the main character Gregor, was driving in the woods, sending him off to camp. The purpose for the camp was to bring people together. Another reason being to fight for a "cause" and campaign. Gregor was very interested in meeting people with similar mindsets as him. When he got to the camp, a new proposition was imposed. The head camp counselor(named jimmy, and the step son of Robert Drill) announced that whoever protested and would share their campaign the best, would be given points based on how well they do. Then, whoever has the most points by the end of camp will gain the opportunity to earn an internship with Robert Drill himself. So, the normal camp activities turned into a fierce competition and had divided the campers up more than bringing them together. As the story goes on, their are multiple events held for campers to gain points. Gregor had a negative amount of points(from almost drowning) and is was in last place. But he began to make friends. These friends would then go on to help him through this tuff time. As time moves on, Gregor noticed and started to question the counselors and the activities that were being held. On a random day, a campers mural had gotten destroyed. Since the counselors didn't care enough about the incident to find out themselves, Gregor decided to sneak into the counselors offices and look through the cameras footage. Once Gregor found out who had ruined the mural, Jimmy walked into the office to have a conversation with Robert Drill. While Jimmy and Robert Drill spoke, Gregor hid in a closet listening to their conversation. Then, Robert Drill exposed that their wasn't any internship, which angered Gregor. After this event, they went to Main Street in Swan Lake NYC. Jimmy(head counselor) had brought all the campers to Main Street for a competition. Where the campers needed to get signatures from people to show support for their cause. Lastly, whoever had gotten the most signatures would get points. Obviously, Gregor did not participate after learning there would be no internship. So, instead of doing the competition, Gregor and Ashley went to abandoned store with old music CDs. They ended up getting locked in there by Rights(Tom Cruz), but ended being let out by Ashley's body guard Pika. When they got back to camp, Jimmy announced that the campers parents will be able to come see their children and see around the camp. This ended horribly with Robert Drill actually come down to his own camp for the first time in the book(even though its his camp he has never been to the camp him self, only through holographic videos). When Robert Drill arrived at camp, there was a press conference being held and at this press conference, Gregor tried to expose Robert about the internship, but, it backfired and left Gregor being the laughing stock of the camp. After the press-conference, Gregor and Ashley had an argument and made Ashley leave camp temporally. When Ashley came back, her and Gregor made up and decided to hid in the woods while the rest of the campers played capture the flag, boys v.s. girls "war". In the morning after the war which left multiple bodies around the camp, Ashley ended up eating a poisonous plant and ended up getting sick and passing out. With the help of Jimmy and Gregor, Ashley ended up getting treated at a hospital. Gregor and Jimmy later returned to camp and Gregor rallied up all the remaining woken campers and made a speech. Then, Ashley came back to the camp to thank Gregor and kiss him on the lips, ending the story of NO GOOD DEED

Philanthropic means "to give of one's time, talent, or money to help others or to improve general welfare of humanity". An example of the word used in a sentence is, "they receive financial support from philanthropic bodies".

Another location where it was important to the story was Main Street in Swan Lake NYC. The story was very dusty with empty shelves and broken tiles on the floor.

The reason why this quote was extremely important to this story was because it was Gregor's and Ashley's first argument. The argument had led to Ashley temporarily leaving camp, and causes drama to occur.

To me, the most significant event in this book was the ending. At the ending of the book, Gregor finally had the courage to confess his built up feelings towards Ashley. When Gregor finally did, Ashley Woodstone landed a kiss with our main character known as Gregor. The reason why this was a big moment in this story is because it was Gregor's first kiss. This kiss is something that he dreamed of getting for years. The kiss had boosted Gregor's confidence to the extreme.

On page 189, Gregor is sitting inside an empty cabin while talking to Ashley. Her body guard Pika is also there. Gregor thinks to himself, " He was right behind Ashley, leaning over her and staring directly down at me. His teeth were bared. "ZAAP", this time, a loud clap of thunder accompanied his countenance." ZAP is an example of an onomatopoeia, and its used to describe the electric sound of a sudden burst of energy.

On page 196, Gregor describes how Ashley Woodstone looked, he says, "Her eyebrows wiggled like dancing caterpillars, and beneath them her eyes twinkled with what could only be described as mischief". This is another example of simile and personification. A simile is a figure of speech involving the comparison of one thing with another thing of a different kind using like or as. In this context, Gregor is saying that Ashley is raising and lowering her eyebrows, comparing it to a caterpillar. Personification is a literary device that gives human characteristics to nonhuman things. Examples of this are things like animals, objects, or abstract ideas. This is used when Gregor compares the way Ashley's eyebrows moves like a dancing caterpillar. Though, caterpillars can’t literally "dance".
