One time when I was bored, I decided to learn where all the US states are on a map. It led me to then learn their capitals. Then, to learn where all the European countries are. Once I had learned all that, I decided why not learn where all the south american and central American countries are, where all the Caribbean islands are, and even the Canadian provinces. It is something that I feel I'm really good at, so I enjoy learning about it and showing other people.

My best friends

When I think about all of the gifts my best friends have given me, the most important ones were not the birthday gifts or the time one of them may have paid for my food, it was the support and friendship they have shown me. They are always there for me when I need help, and I would take a good real friendship over a birthday gift any day.

Working

I work 2 separate jobs, one at a restaurant, and one at a Ski mountain coaching kids. Through having jobs and a responsibility to uphold, I have learned so much about hard work and going above and beyond to excel at my job. Even though it may be hard to miss out on events with my friends to buss tables for 5 hours, or lose the chance to go to a party on a weekend to teach kids, it has shown me to have priorities and a good work ethic.

Growing up with a blended family

I lived alone as an only child with my mom for 7 years, and then one day, all of that changed and I gained a new stepdad, and 2 new step sisters. Following that, I gained 2 half siblings. It was a very difficult switch and affected my way of everyday living completely. Although it caused a big change in my life, I've been shown a whole knew dynamic of living, and it has given me new perspectives on the importance of family.

Painting

I have always loved to do art, and my favorite thing to do is paint watercolors. My father's side has a long line of artistic talent, and once I can get a paper and a brush, I can paint for hours and make it feel like minutes. It is something that takes me away from any problems i'm having, any stress, and is a way for me to relax and do something I love.
