I took over after changing school years later and never looked back. I feel like the students that I encounter in AP are most likely to "use" the chemistry they've learned in the class. I didn't really have a good teacher in high school and  there were some gaps I had to overcome. I teach this class because I want my students to have a fighting chance to reach their goals. I want them to learn that there will be a time when they too feel that they can't do it, but it's all about trying again when they fail.
