         <description><![CDATA[<div>I first taught AP during my first years as a teacher and I was awarded the task after teaching as an undergraduate in the lab/ recitation sessions at Pitt.   I took over after changing school years later and never looked back.   I feel like the students that I encounter in AP are most likely to "use" the chemistry they've learned in the class.   It's also one of the toughest classes their junior year, so I love working through that with students and celebrating their accomplishments at the end.</div>]]></description>

I didn't really have a good teacher in high school and&nbsp; there were some gaps I had to overcome. I teach this class because I want my students to have a fighting chance to reach their goals. I often have alumni come back in to share their post high school experiences with my current students.   I hope that's how they feel...still connected.
