It uses high-energy particles or waves, such as x-rays, gamma rays, electron beams, or protons, to destroy or damage cancer cells. Some patients also get radiation after chemotherapy. In some cases, surgery can be used to take out the cancer if it has not spread to other organs. There is really no cure for breast cancer but there is targeted therapy drugs for genes.
