         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><strong><em>Born:</em></strong> December 5th, 1901, Hermosa, Chicago, Illinois</li><li><strong><em>Education:</em></strong> Disney attended McKinley High School in Chicago, where he took drawing and photography classes and was a contributing cartoonist for the school paper.  At night, he took courses at the <a href="https://www.artic.edu/">Art Institute of Chicago</a>. </li><li><strong><em>Family:</em></strong> Walt Disney was one of five children, four boys and a girl. His father was Elias Disney, an Irish-Canadian, and his mother, Flora Call Disney, was German-American. Disney lived most of his childhood in Marceline, Missouri, where he began drawing, painting and selling pictures to neighbors and family friends. In 1925, Disney hired an ink-and-paint artist named Lillian Bounds. After a brief courtship, the couple married.</li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>Disney's uncle, Mike Martin, was a train engineer so Disney was given a summer job of selling snacks and newspapers to travelers. </li><li>He tried joining the Army after dropping out of school but was declined due to his age.</li><li>Moved to Kansas City to pursue a career as a newspaper artist.</li><li>His brother Roy got him a job at the Pesmen-Rubin Art Studio, where he met cartoonist Ubbe Eert Iwwerks, better known as Ub Iwerks. From there, Disney worked at the Kansas City Film Ad Company, where he made commercials based on cutout animation. Around this time, Disney began experimenting with a camera, doing hand-drawn cel animation, and decided to open his own animation business.</li><li>Disney opened his own business by the name of, Laugh-O-Grams, making 7 minute cartoons, but the studio drowned in debt.</li><li>Disney and his brother Roy soon pooled their money and moved to Hollywood. Iwerks also relocated to California, and there the three began the Disney Brothers' Studio. <ul><li>All in all, Walt Disney later became a world-wide known animator and created many amazing films such as Mickey Mouse, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, etc.</li></ul></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Walt failed and failed hard at times, but his love for animation, commercials, and cartoons never stopped no matter the circumstances. His company came to be through self-confidence and his determination to keep coming forward. He was given many of opportunities by individuals who saw potential in his work. Those opportunities led to great outcomes once he decided to open a successful business, once this happened and his films started getting established he began to make money - opening even more businesses, attracting more and more consumers. Walt Disney's success ultimately came out of his decision to never give up and pursue what you dream of.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li>He dropped out of high school to join the Red Cross Ambulance Corps, wanting to do his part in World War I. But because he was just shy of the minimum age requirement of 17, he <a href="http://www.history.com/news/history-lists/7-things-you-might-not-know-about-walt-disney">forged</a> a different date on his birth certificate.</li><li>Joined his older brother in selling vacuum cleaners and his brother tried to get him to pursue selling vacuum cleaners for his life career but he chose against it. So he almost sold vacuum cleaners for a living.</li><li>He had his own secret apartment at Disneyland, people normally are not allowed in it but some VIPs are granted access during private tours. Everything in his apartment stays untouched since his death.</li></ul>]]></description>
