He was figting for Black panther group he got shot and killed. He was also African Americans leader.

4) Martin Luther King and the Black Panthers wanted the same thing - equal
rights and an end of racism - but how were they different from him?
The black panthers used violence and Martin Luther king dind't he just wanted peace.
