Granted, the fact that they are both the top female rap artists at the moment, there is bound to be some tension between the two ladies. Nikki, however, has always had a knack for making other rappers and artists feel like they are beneath her and Cardi wanted to make it clear that she was not going to be bullied especially not by Nikki (anamai2018). Cardi heard the segment and this tipped her off and when she saw her at fashion week she approached the table and confronted her. Nikki's friend saw cardi as a threat and attacked her. Cardi in self defence, fought back and threw her shoe at the attacker and the rapper. After that scene (TMZ2018), Nikki went on her radio show once again to set the record straight about why the fight happened and the fact that she does not want to continue this feud.
