If you could have one superpower what would it be and why?

I'm originally from upstate New York, but I've lived many places, including Boston, Maryland, and Budapest--though I currently reside in Morgantown.

If I had a superpower, I think I'd like to teleport just because it'd make travel plans a bit easier haha.

Some other fun facts about me is that I'm a HUGE hockey fan (as shown in the photo above) and would love to talk your ear off about New York Rangers hockey. I also enjoy baseball (go Mets!), though hockey is my first love.

I also love Star Wars! I know far more than anyone ever should about a galaxy far, far away, and I use that knowledge as part of my side gig, writing at Screen Rant. My team at Screen Rant has dubbed me our resident Star Wars Rebels and Ahsoka expert, but I love it all.

I'm looking forward to a great couple of weeks!

I'm originally from Fredericksburg but I've lived in Craigsville for the last 5+ years. If I had a superpower, I'd want to be a shapeshifter so I could do better impressions or give myself multiple arms to multitask better.

One fun fact about me is that I love making art, both physical and digital. If you ask nicely, I could even make little sketches for you! My preferred canvas is a sketchbook, but I also display craftworks and sculptures in my room, and occasionally do digital art commissions, but that's been left on the burner for a while. I even have a mural painted in Downtown Summersville, just look near the Moose Lodge!

Another fun fact is I love videogames! While I'm willing to play just about anything, my closest genres are racing and platformers, with a pinch of RPGs. I've played videogames all my life and connected with so many wonderful people through the medium and the communities surrounding them. It's a wonderful space for people to unwind and enjoy themselves while playing with their friends and family.

One fun fact about me is that I love to write poetry- I actually self-published a short collection on amazon last summer. I figured, why not, so I did it and it's out there! It was pretty scary putting something I wrote out there for everyone to see, but it also gave me a lot of courage to pursue professional writing as my minor.

Another fun fact is that I loooooooove to travel. I love visiting new places, and I always keep stickers, receipts, and little photo strips from wherever I go so that I can journal with it once I get home.

My name is Timothy Lebeck (he/him), and I am originally from Winchester, VA and now reside in Bunker Hill, WV with my wife, our 3-year-old Bichon, Buster, and our rabbit, Ricky. In 2020 I started a material handling company with my wife involved in sales, designs, and installations, and have had unique experiences working with a wide variety of customers from the FBI, Clorox, Thermo Fisher, and the NSA (to name a few) over the last 5 years.  At 39 years old I decided I wanted to change course and realized I was close to an undergraduate degree and decided to finish online at WVU. I am currently in my 4th year and scheduled to graduate in December with an RBA degree and a minor in Psychology and following graduation, I plan to pursue a career in healthcare and will be applying to Physician Assistant master’s programs.

I was apprehensive about the competition that awaits in PA school so something interesting I did was begin to study anatomy & physiology in my free time and really wanted to learn as much as possible to have an edge and so I found and open-source A&P textbook and converted it into digital flashcards utilizing Anki, which is a free software that uses spaced repetition to help you memorize information into long-term memory and it has a myriad of customizable features with images, audio, and text allowing you to create customizable “decks”. This began August 2024, and I have created over 4,200 cards and studied daily, and now use them for any new class I take, and it really works well for me. It was a hobby that has turned into a passion, and I am always trying to discover new techniques and skills to absorb high volume, difficult information and condense it into succinct summaries that allow me to retain new information and that is the main reason why I believe this class will help me continue this endeavor because success in healthcare (or any field) greatly benefits from taking one’s knowledge and being able to understand it to a degree to which one can educate and help others understand.

Finally, if I could have one superpower it would have to be the power to discern truth, as it would lead to ultimate knowledge and answer every nagging question from math, physics, religion, and unlock all the mysteries of the universe and I could achieve my goal of being a literal know-it-all.

If I could have any superpower, I would choose the ability to stop and start time at will. There's never enough time in a day to get everything that I want to get done, done. Time stop would fix this because I would essentially have an infinite amount of time to do whatever I want. I would also never have to waste time sleeping anymore.

One fun fact about me is, I just went on a 3-week road trip across the United States. Two of my friends and I got in my car and just started driving west. We didn't have a plan and just stopped at things that we thought were interesting. A big highlight of the trip was that we got to see all 5 national parks in Utah. If you ever go to Utah, I highly recommend the Narrows trail at Zion National Park.

Another fun fact about me is, I am a big fan of building computers. I built my first one in high school and have been building them ever since. I have even sold a couple on eBay before.

A fun fact of mine is I am big into music, and know how to play piano, some guitar and violin, and I sing. I love going to concerts wherever they come up. I am also outdoorsy and like to go on hikes, and just experience nature. I love birds especially!
