The vision that I have is for my future, what my career will look like. In this vision I go over all the potential pathways I could take in archaeology and what it will take to get there. But I also think about what I want from it, that I want to not only succeed but I want to travel and experience new things, I want to have fun in my career.

The core values that I have are fairness, equality and honesty. I believe that these are very important to have, not just to incorporate into my career but also do have in everyday life. A big interest of mine is learning, I love finding out new information about topics I enjoy, mainly history. I believe its very vital to keep and open mind and to always been learning something new, to keep our brain turned on.

C: What inspires me?

I don’t think there’s only one thing that inspires me. I think as a whole I get inspiration from seeing other people do what they enjoy doing. Whether that’s a job or a hobby, seeing other people happy no matter their situation is makes me believe that I can have the life I want and that it’s possible to achieve that.

I think “open minded” is the best statement to represent myself. I believe this because I feel that I am always very open minded to what others tell, never quick to judge unless I have the full story. I think I’m very trustworthy with that and my friends know that they can tell me anything without getting judged for it.

E: Who is a thought leader in my industry that I admire?

I do not really follow anyone that is in the industry that I want to go into. However, I have always thought that David Attenborough is a very thoughtful and passionate man. The work he does in the animal, and sometimes, history industry is very impressive. It is clear that he enjoys what he does and is very passionate about it as well, that he actually wants to make a difference in our world (Sebastiao, Soares, 2023).

F: What skills and qualifications do I need?

The skills that I will need for this are being able to work with others, being a team player, fast worker and thinker, being able to speak up for myself and also being able to work independently (Arendt, 2013). The qualifications I will need is work experience in museums, degrees in the topic I want to go into, field or lab experience, and further education such as masters or PhD (Arendt, 2013).
