Every day they would beat up and make fun of the weird and unpopular kids. Other antagonists include the teachers in the school. The teachers in this book see kids getting bullied, and getting shoved around but do nothing. I think that this is the theme because Brendan and Gary and the other unpopular kids of the school get treated horribally. So Brendan and Gary decide to do something about it, they shoot up their school. Like themselves all throughout their lives, our main characters make the bullies, the kids, and the teachers suffer during the shooting.
