I wanted her to go into more detail how was she "silenced" at the government school, especially since this reading is from the section "The Child's Struggle against Silencing."  I also wanted to know how she ending up changing schools or more about the life on the reservation.
This was an interesting read as it described three different types of school: public, reservation, and private.  It's sad how badly the American Indian students were treated at the government school.  On pg. 58, she says that she was a "shadow of a happy girl." It must have been awful going from a nice school to a terrible school. What kind of school has no books? That was very shocking to me.  It was also sad how the nun treated her since I thought that nuns were supposed to be helpful and caring, especially for the poor and needy.  This shows how important first impressions are, even on young children. 
How were teachers chosen for schools at the reservation?
How did she end up at the Catholic School?
