https://padlet.com/RonaldRusso/about A retired music teacher, Ronald Russo served as a band director for the Connecticut region of Woodbury and Bethlehem from 1968 to 1999, during which time he worked alongside the superintendent of schools to coordinate music programs for students in grade four to 12. In addition to teaching, Ronald Russo was responsible for meeting with local groups to secure assistance with purchasing new equipment like music stands and larger instruments such as tubas, baritone horns, and baritone saxophones, among others. Ronald Russo was the region's only band teacher until 1979, when a second was hired, which allowed him to focus solely on teaching students in grade four to eight. Consequently, he was also appointed the region's first music coordinator. Among other highlights, his middle school band performed live on the local TV show TJ and Friends in 1985. Beyond music, Mr. Russo was a member of the Watertown Town Council from 1969 to 71 and served on the board of education from 1973 to 79. He was also a longtime member of the Housing Authority and the Park and Recreation Commission.
