This lesson is a great way to teach younger elementary students (1st -3rd grade) about various biases and about stereotypes.
I think this would be a wonderful way to teach the lesson as it is a relatable and familiar movie for students. It also includes vocabulary to focus on and allows teachers to dig a little deeper based on those vocabulary terms.

This is a great discussion and awareness strategy that can be easily incorporated into your centers in you preschool classroom. You can use the mixed beans to create a visual for your sensory bins and talk to preschoolers about the differences and similarities. This is a great open-ended question starter.

This resource is a list of picture books that could be used with preschool and kindergarten students to introduce and start conversation concerning anti-bias and inclusion. A few of the books included on the list are: Not My Idea: A Book About Whiteness, The Name Jar, The People Shall Continue, and many others. This list is geared toward young students, But I also feel many of these could also be sued in upper grades as conversation starters to discuss anti-bias and diversity.

There is also a station that shares a video that shows students a variety of things in the view of someone with autism.
I think these stations would be easily used with students in grades 2nd -5th.
