      Last week, when I was about to write a note for my mother, I realised that my pencil was nowhere to be found. It is black and yellow colour. Without my pencil, I could not write notes for my mother. I felt sad when I found out that it was lost. I searched everywhere for it. I searched the store room, under the bed, under the desk and cupboard. In the end, I found it on the shelves. I was over the moon and overjoyed. I can now use my pencil and write a note for my mother. From  that day onwards, I learnt to be responsible and keep my things well.

        One day, when I was about to go to recess, I discovered that my wallet was lost. I searched under my desk, in my bag and my pocket. I could not find it. I told Mrs Au and my friends to help me find it. One of my friends checked the recess table, chairs and the hall. I was worried and sad. Without my wallet, I could not buy food.  In the end, I found it beside my water bottle! I was very excited and joyful. I thanked Mrs Au and my friends because they helped me to find my wallet. I could buy food and stationery and go for recess happily with my friends and teachers.  From that day onwards, I learnt to be responsible and keep my things well.

Deepavali

    Deepavali is a popular festival celebrated by Hindus. People wear new clothes, Sari, Pavadai chattai, Kurta, and Jippa. In Singapore, Serangoon Road is lighted with colourful lights for this festival. They exchange greetings and decorate their homes with lamps. They also hang leaves at their doors. The children are excited to eat delicious food like laddu, murruku, and Kesari. Most people draw kolam with colourful patterns on the floor. Some people draw pictures of how they celebrate their Deepavali and paste them on the doors and walls. On this special day, they visit their family, relatives, friends, and grandparents to give them their best wishes.

   I was with my mother, father and my brother. We went to Japan two years ago. We went to Odawara Children’s Forest. We enjoyed playing at the different playgrounds in the forest. We also went to Studio Ghibli and we learnt about Japanese animation. We also played with Lego bricks at the Legoland. I was happy to spend time with my family. I had a whale of a time.

      I was with my mother, father, brother, grandma and my big aunt. We went to Taiwan in November 2019. We visited Taipei 101 building witch was very tall. I could look at the city from the observatory. I took the cable car for the first time to Maokong. The scenery was very beautiful. We also lighted up the sky lantern which carried our wishes at Shifen. I was happy to spend time bonding with my family. I had a whale of a time. I hope to visit Taiwan again.

We eat delicious food like bak kwa, oranges and pineapple tarts. We buy fresh flowers to decorate our homes. We watch lion dance and dragon dance. When I get a red packet, I smile happily. I thank my parents for giving me a red packet. It is very colourful and beautiful. On the special day, they visit their family, relatives, friends and neighbours. We give them our best wishes. I look forward to get more red packets during Chinese New Year.

       I was with my daddy, mummy and my sister. We went to Gardens By The Bay last weekend. First, we saw many different types of flowers and plants. Second, we sat on the wooden bench and we took a photograph of our lovely family. Third, we had a great and delicious dinner. I was happy to spend time bonding with my family. I had a whale of time. I hope I can visit Gardens By The Bay again.

We went to Universal Studios in March 2020.We went on some fun roller coaster rides.  We saw Transformers   like Megatron and Octimus Prime. We also rode a tram to Sentosa . I played the guessing game with Arfa in class.  Arfa was the first to pick something from the plastic bag. She picked a ruler. She guessed correctly by using her sense of touch. Next, I picked something from the bag.  I picked an eraser. I guessed it correctly by using my sense of touch. I enjoyed playing this game. We used our sense of touch to play this guessing game. From this activity, we learnt to use our sense of touch.

        There is a zebra in the book, Crocodile Tea. The zebra has black and white stripes. In the book, the zebra wears a colourful scarf.  I think it looks funny. It was snapped up by the crocodile in the story.

  One day, when I was  about to go for my PE lesson, I noticed that my water bottle was nowhere to be found. It is blue in colour.  Without my water bottle, I could not drink water.  I felt worried and sad when I found that it was missing. I searched the classroom,  shelves and under my desk.  In the end, my friend found it in the toilet. I was overjoyed. From that day onwards, I learnt to be responsible and keep my things well.

We took  a helicopter ride to the top of the mountain to enjoy the beautiful scenery. We went on a cruise to admire the beautiful sea. I felt great learning about New Zealand.          My favourite vehicle is the fire engine. It has a ladder and a long hose. It can spray water to put out the fire 🔥 to save people. I like it because it can zoom very fast. I also like the bright red colour. The fire engine has a noisy siren too.

      My favourite vehicle is the helicopter. I love it because it can fly and it is cool. I like to ride on a helicopter because it is fast and special. The helicopter comes with a set of spinning propellers to help it fly.
