         <description><![CDATA[<div>First off, to the Unity staff who has to constantly deal with patrons' accounts on hold because of "updated CC info needed" messages: I'm sorry about all this. I know the frustrations of dealing with a system and software that aren't always easy to work with. Second, I'm still looking into why some cards keep getting kicked back into our system and are not charging patrons as they're supposed to. I'm going to call the software company we use to see what's going on. Until I get a definitive answer, here's the protocol:</div><ol><li><strong>NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER </strong>manually input a patron's credit card number into SportsMan. Why? Because the security is different for manually entered information, which means that card information can be more easily accessed from the outside (this is internal only information). We <strong>MUST ALWAYS </strong>swipe credit cards to ensure that the information is protected. Even if you have to swipe 20 times, NEVER enter any card information manually again. Call a merit if you're having trouble and if no merits are onsite, call me on my cell.</li><li>If this is the first time this has happened to a patron, ask if they have a different card to use. If they don't have one at that time, let them work out and ask if they can bring another card to replace the old one the next time they visit the gym. If they ask why, let them know that we believe there is a software glitch, but we are in the process of finding a solution so this doesn't continue to happen. On my behal, please apologize for the inconvenience. </li><li>If this happens to the same patrons over and over, give them my card and let them know they can call me directly. Though you're all here to interact with the public, sometimes it's just less stressful to have them come straight to me. I don't mind this, but please, don't overdo it. :) Remember: you're all the front line and sometimes dealing with complicated situations comes with the territory. I've seen almost all of you in action and have no doubts that you're doing a fantastic job.</li></ol>]]></description>
