We had hired the first morning a bus tour through Upper and Down Manhattan but the role of the travel agency boucher did not match the paper that the driver had given us that took us from the airport to the hotel, put another pick-up hotel So we lost it the first morning and we did it the next day.
The first day we visited Ground Zero and 9/11n Memorial, Down Manhattan, Little Italy, Chinatown, the Brooklyn Bridge, a bit of Brooklyn, Times Square and Rockefeller Center.Some of the streets around the 5th. and 7th. Avenue were cut at times because there was a meeting of UN agents. Suddenly we saw 10 cars followed by a limousine with US flags, it was President Trump.
The second day we took the bus tour through Upper and Down Manhattan in the morning. We discovered Haarlem and part of Central Park in Upper Manhattan, the rest we had already visited on foot. Many streets were cut by the UN meeting, there was a lot of traffic jams. We We had dinner in an Italian restaurant a plate of spaghetti with giant clams, on the plate could eat four people. At night we saw The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway. I fell asleep due to the fatigue.
The third day we went up to the Empire State Building. I think they are the best view of NY.In the afternoon we visit part of Central Park.In the evening we visit Top of Rock, climb the tallest tower of the Rockefeller Center to enjoy the night views of NY.
On the fourth day,we started a tour of the East Coast by coach for several days.The first stop was in Philadelphia, one of the most European cities in the US. I climbed the steps of the famous scene from the movie Rocky. We saw the campaign for the proclamation of independence and the original documents of the Declaration of Independence and the American Constitution.In the afternoon we arrived in Washington where we slept two nights. The first afternoon we visited the area of ​​the embassies and the university area of ​​Georgetown.
The fifth day was spent in Washington, we visited the White House on the outskirts, Arlington Military Cementery, the Lincoln Memorial, the Memorials to the Korean War and Vietnam, the National Gallery, the Museum of NASA and aviation and the Capitol outside.
Washington is a more orderly city, with open spaces and even cleaner than New York and without its stress.
The only day I had problems with the language was that night. The restaurants in Washington closed much earlier than in NY, we had to dine at a McDonald's because the rest were closed. A Latin saleswoman to see that I did not remember how mustard was said and she did not change to Spanish and continued speaking in English.
The sixth day we practically spent in the bus direction to Niagara Falls crossing the States of Pennsylvannia and New York. The driver deviated a bit from the route to see the Amish in Pennsylvania. It is a community that lives in the seventeenth century as they came from Europe without electricity or cars, in carriages. There are two types of ultra-Orthodox who can not be seen and live like that and the more light ones who accept some comforts of modern life. We were lucky and saw a group of blond little children who greeted us as we passed the bus. We arrived at Niagara Falls in the late evening. We passed the Canadian border and we were able to take the last boat ride to the falls. The truth is that they disappointed a little, I expected them to be bigger and we did not get wet. The part of Canada looks like a mini Las Vegas with casinos and amusement parks. That night we slept in a hotel in the Canadian area.
The seventh day We visited the National Park next to Niagara Falls with its gardens with a replica of a clock like the one in Edinburgh and then we took the road back to NY.We spent the last afternoon in NY doing shopping and the last night we went to the Italian Restaurant. This time we ordered spaghetti with prawns. Actually, in the menu I used shrimp, for us the shrimp is not a big prawn, for the Americans, even the Latin ones.Those that we had left over from dinner we gave to a homeless.
The eighth day in the morning we went back to visit Central Park areas that we had left.
In the afternoon we went to the Newark airport in New Jersey. To our surprise the flight had been canceled because the flight that we had to pick up after half an hour of flight from El Prat had to return to land because a bird had made a hole in the engine. The solutions they gave us were 4 places for Paris, the majority to Rome, and other Copenhagen via Oslo. Many people accepted the flight from Rome paying the flight in another company from Rome to Barcelona. We did not accept and they placed us in a hotel near the airport with minimum money for dinner.
The nineth day they gave us more money for breakfast and dinner, and they placed us a flight for the next day from JFK airport without taxi paid. 
We spent the day shopping at a mall near the airport. We made a lot of purchases of American brand clothing that is cheaper than in Europe.
The tenth and last day, We were notified at 7 o'clock in the morning half an hour before we had a bus to JKF airport for free. We flew in a plane rented by another company of 500 seats of which we were really only 30 passengers. We had all the amenities for us alone including coffee with cinnamon and wine from business area.We arrived at El Prat at 3 o'clock at night.

In short, what I liked the most about the trip: NY is a cosmopolitan city, with no dirt in the parks, no paper or a cigar in the floors and people are civic in the metro as well as in the cars. Washington still more orderly and civic. I missed the tour of contrasts through the Bronx, Queen's and Brooklyn, although we made a visit to a part of the Brooklyn and we also crossed it to the airport. I like that in New York they have hobby to President Trump, the security of their buildings has to pay the State of New York and their helicopter trips from Manhattan to Washington because they do not want to go by car. New Yorkers are fed up with this abuse of power. I also liked being able to know how the Amish live.
What I liked the least: I was disappointed in Niagara Falls, I expected it to be bigger, and the part of Canada looks like Las Vegas in small. Food in the US is not good and expensive, the same as alcohol, a beer is worth at least 7-8 dollars, a bottle of wine 40-50 dollars, a quarter of a bottle 12 dollars.Finally I was displeased to see many homeless in NY. This shows that the USA is a country with a society of many contrasts.

CLIL means teaching different subjects in English in order to improve the use of English. CLIL gives teachers some tools to teach non-linguistic subjects in a foreing language. It is important to help students to improve their academic and job opportunities by giving them the best education we could teaching English through other subjects or teaching other subjects through English. You can teach i if you have the tools to do it. It is the way to introduce a different language in a specific language on subjects, learning how to use this methodology in each subject.

CLIL is an umbrella term that means there are different pedagogies that involves content, communication, cogniton and culture.  It is an acronym, implying an approach, a philosophy, an educational paradigm with frontiers that can be defined, is a dual focused educational approach in which an additional language is used for learning and teaching of both content and language. It's a new form of subject education, an innovate fusion of both. It encompasses any activity in which a foreign language is used as a tool in the learning of a non-language subject in which both language and the subject have a joint role. Involves bilingual educationa, content based instruction, inmersion and so on. CLIL has it roots in European contexts where sociolinguistic and political settings are rich and diverse to describe educational methods where subjects are taught through a foreing language with dual-focussed aims, anmely the learning of content, and the simultaneous learning of a foreing language.

I have learned many ways to propose activities for my student, especially with lots of kinds of scaffolding which thay can help them to solve the activities without a great knowledge of English or the subject. It fulfilled a lot of my expectations but as I said before now it's time to apply what I have learnt. My expectations have fulfilled since we had the opportunity not only to learn in a theorical way how exercises are prepared by CLIL methodologhy, but I have been able to resort to different resources and prepare the scaffolding properly.

The course has completely exceeded my expectations because it has been a way of deepeving and reorient my methodology within my own matter, and how form the same help my students.  I'm happy to had had the opportunity to learn about new methodologies, but also to put it into practice creating different activities, rubrics... that can use in the future. It has been movating to create our own unit choosing the topic and working in something that are find and inspiring for our students and for us.

I have learned a lot of exercises to work language through scaffolding, and that's something that I found so useful. I have learned to improve some thinking skills and analyses it taking into account Cumin's matrix and Bloom's taxonomy.

In general, I'm happy with the course because it has meant the first contact with CLIL and has it given me strenghts to go on with CLIL.
