In one of my old english courses, I would have preferred to have the Crucible read aloud to me. When I was reading the book, it was hard to follow along due to the language used back then. I think having an audio book would help my comphrension and understanding of the text, instead of focusing on the words.

It would be helpful in a situation where there was a student that struggled with a learning disability, for example dyslexia. If there was a follow up assignment on what they read, they might fall behind. This would help keep them up to speed with the rest of their classmates.

When I took African American Literature my senior year of high school, we read a book that was in a different vernacular. I had a lot of trouble reading this book in my head, so I opted to listen to the audiobook instead. This helped me tremendously in understanding what was being said. So I think listening to a book or texts would be helpful when the language or English used isn't the same as the English used in today's world.

Having a book, article, or text read out loud to me would be helpful in a situation where I forgot my glasses and can't see the text clearly. If someone were to read the text out loud to me I could still stay involved.

I think it would've been helpful when we were reading Macbeth my senior year of highschool. A lot of the words in that story are older and have different meaning than words today. Having it read to me would've made it easier for me to comprehend and understand the context of the story.

I think a situation where it would be helpful is when you are taking notes. So, you can listen and be able to write at the same time.

It would be helpful if it is a loud environment and I am having trouble focusing on the words. Sometimes I also find myself just reading the words and not understanding them, so sometimes I will listen to a audiobook so I can understand what they are saying.

I think in some cases, being read too would be helpful. I think someone who struggles with comprehension may be benefitted by being read too. I also think this could help a child who struggles to stay on course.

It would be helpful in a situation where the text is harder/boring. I personally get bored while reading very easily. Having someone read a difficult article to me during a test would help me a lot. I also get super bad test anxiety, so it would help reduce my stress.

I think that it would be helpful when I have a book that I need to remember specific parts of the plot for a school assignment or plot. Having it read allowed will allow me to understand what is going on in the plot better has I don't only read it but hear it too.
