In 1913, Henry Ford installed the first moving assembly in his factories. This invention enabled the Ford Motor Co. to build cars faster and cheaper than before. It not only made automobiles more available to the average person but changed manufacturing forever. This was a key element during the Age of Industry. During the 1920s Ford came out with many new motor vehicles. Some of the most known are, The Model T, and The Model A. These partially created a foundation for future vehicles.

The Bronze age

About 5000 years ago, people started to domesticate animals and learn how to use them as transportation. Especially horses. People trained horses to be able to control and go the way they want to go by lightly pulling a string.

1886-Benz Patent Motor Car

In the late 1800s there was the first ever car. It was 3 wheeled and gas powered. These vehicles were mostly used by the more wealthy population, because not every average person could afford these cars.

Late 1900s

In the later 1900s there were more updated and easier to use cars. The car brand Dodge came out with many new cars that made life much easier for humans. According to (history.com) In 1914 over 45,000 cars were sold by dodge. Since then it has increased greatly.

Early 2000s- electric cars

In the early 2000s electric cars started to become more used. In 2010 the Nissan Leaf became the most used electric car of that year. In 2011 9,674 Nissan Leaf cars were sold. They were very controversial because some people believed they saved the environment but many also believed that they killed it.

The Iron Age

During the Iron Age, transportation was very similar to the Bronze age, just more updated with better technology. Not much was different but seating and the way the wheels were made were slightly more advanced. This was still not powered by engine, it was pulled by domesticated horses.

Late 1700s

Not much changed until the later 1700s. In 1770 people thought of the idea of vehicles to entirely run off of steam. Some were made to have pumps that moved by themselves, and some were little 'locomotives' with road wheels.

2024- Present Day

In 2015 the car brand Tesla, came out with their first electric car. Since then there has been many new models and upgrades. In 2015 Tesla sold 50,580 electric car. In 2023 tesla sold 1,438,992 electric cars. And in 2024 they predict to sell more than 2 million, showing how much the industry is growing each year.

The Future

According to (discovercars.com) by 2048, cars might have VR and AR technology to entertain passengers, also most types of cars will have the self driving mode. Also, Tesla says they will make new cars, maybe even electric / rechargeable trucks. Tesla said they will create more cost efficient chargers. Predictions say, more than 25% of cars sold will run off of electric engines.

1817- Bicycles

In 1817 the first bicycle was invented by a German inventor named Karl von Drais. The bicycle was such a great creation because it helped people get to where they needed to be quickly and cheaper than bigger vehicles. There are around 143,000,000 million bicycles sold a year and around 364,000 bikes made every single day.

WWI was the first major conflict where mechanized vehicles were used. Because of the drastic change in warfare due major changes in technology, it became necessary to use armored vehicles. From this point on, these "vehicles" would be responsible the loss of countless lives.

1804 - Trains

In 1804, Richard Trevithick invented the first steam powered locomotive. This enabled mankind to more efficiently move people and supplies over great distances. As the United States settled the west, the Transcontinental Railroad was responsible for the effective movement of all of the essential pieces. It made interstate trade possible and contributed to the econmoic boom of the late 1800's.

1903 - Airplanes

Wilbur and Orville Wright invented and tested the first powered airplane in 1903. This would eventually prove to be the most efficient way to move people over the longest of distances. It enbaled people to cross countries and oceans and even send men and women into outer space.
