This is a full introductory training intended to be conducted as an in-person workshop. Participants take a deep dive into the document to become fully familiar with it before using it to inform lesson planning. It includes historical slides that can be included or removed depending on the needs of the audience. While it is intended to be conducted live, it can be adapted for a synchronous online offering, as well.

This workshop is the next step after participants complete either an asynchronous or in-person introductory workshop. Participants are expected to be already familiar with the ALDs and will learn how to integrate ALDs into their lesson and unit planning through practical experience in incorporating ALDs into their existing teaching materials. The Connecting Content presentation offers a flexible format suitable for various settings including full-day workshops, multi-part series, and can be delivered in-person or online through either synchronous or asynchronous mode.

Grade Band Folders:

The materials in the grade band folders are still under development. They will be populated with different examples of how to apply the ALDs at each of the grade bands. Please note that the examples used in the current master presentation can easily be scaled for different grade levels until additional examples are finalized.
