I was sleeping peacefully when my dad screamed at me to wake up. I really did't want to go but after 10 minutes I realized that I had no choice so I finally got out of bed.

My experience illustrates the call to adventure because my dad telling me to get up is what called me on the adventure. I was unhappy with where I was, the mundane world. Later, I finally had to accept it and go forth on my journey.

Challenges & Temptation

During the first semester I came across many challenges and temptations. Examples of some of the challenges I faced are tests, quizes, assignments, and homework. Some of the temptations that I faced were the temptation to cheat or to not study.

Abyss

Right before the end of the semester we had to go through finals week. It was the hardest school week yet. I felt like I was dying with all the stress and all the studying that I had to do. Finally, I realized that I could do this so I passed my tests and go through with the week.

My experience illustrates the Abyss because it was the hardest and darkest part of our journey. Also, I had a metaphoric "death" and "rebirth" when I realized that I could get through it. This experience transformed me into a better student

After our finals we finally got to go back home. It was finally time to relax and return to what is most known to us. Unfortunately, we only got 3 short weeks.

Harry received a letter in the mail from Hogwarts while at his horrible Uncle's house. It tells him that school is about to start and how to get there.This shows call to adventure because the letter call him to adventure.

Some of the challenges Harry faced was dealing with Slytherin and the troll in the girls bathroom. A temptation would be the Mirror of Erised. This shows the challenges step because they are hardships that he has to face before entering the abyss.

In the very last book, Harry has a final duel with Voldemort. He ends up dying but is revived with advice from Dumbledore because he had the resurrection stone. This shows the abyss because it is the darkest part of his journey where he dies and is reborn.

Harry returns home every year after he is done at Hogwarts. He always returns with some kind of gift like a picture book or some advice. This illustrates the return because Harry return home to the known world.
