I think that the attitude of the flight attendant was very nice and kind. It made it look like she appreciated being recognized for her hard work, and she wanted to thank the passanger  for that by doing a kind gesture.
2. The first thing that comes to my mind is the word ¨will¨, why someone wants to do something.
