Genre: Early Chapter Book
Review: This series was one of my favorite's when I was growing up. I like the use of detail and imagery to place the reader into the story. The sense of adventure in this book was great and talked about ancient times, and running from the eruption was exciting. I enjoyed the Hercules plot twist at the end of the story.
Age/Audience: 1st-3rd. This story would be interesting to kids who like volcanoes and adventures.

Review: This was a fun book to read. Pedro was an interesting character and his adventure was easy to follow through the writing. Pedro's detective adventure was adorable and how he solved his problem was creative.

Review: I had never read the book before but I had watched the movie. The book was very similar to the movie, but the book did a fantastic job of bringing the story to life. The way that the characters and the setting were described seemed different to the movie, but I enjoyed the change. Zero was my favorite character, and his evolution throughout the story was inspiring and demonstrated that it's never too late to learn how to read.
Age/Audience: 3rd-5th grade. This book would be interesting to kids who like deserts, family, and the justice system.

Review: This was a classic story that every class read in elementary school. Rereading this as an adult was delightful and insightful on some of the activities that we did to accompany this story. Review: This was a very fun book, but serious as well. The plot was action packed, like when Hermonie got petrified, and funny when Moaning Mertle was after Harry. Review: This book sent me on an emotional roller coaster when Harry was selected for the Tri-Wizard Tournament. Having his name thrown into the Goblet was another puzzle piece into his meeting with Voldemort. Cedric's death was a foreshadowing of the darkness to come. This is my favorite book in the series.

Review: When Harry was being ignored by Ron and Hermonie, he was confused by the isolation. Discovering the Order was trying to keep him safe was very moving because it demonstrated that Harry had a family in the people he met. It was the start of the change in the mood of the rest of the series and it was the turning point of fun to more serious.

Review: This was the most emotional and action packed book in the series, and it was a great conclusion to a saga. The journey to find the Horcruxes and the battle at the end had me on the edge of my seat as I waited to see what would happen. Draco's finale was sad as he was forced to choose between his family and his friends as it was so obvious he wanted out, and Neville's bravery was admirable.
